AACR to Unveil Inaugural Cancer Disparities Progress Report at Virtual Congressional Briefing on Sept. 16, 2020

WHAT:
The American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) will host a virtual Congressional briefing to unveil the inaugural AACR Cancer Disparities Progress Report.
This comprehensive, first-of-its-kind report will feature the latest research on why disparities in cancer incidence, diagnosis, treatment, and survival exist, and what can be done to address them. It highlights the vital need for continued research, collaboration, and funding to ensure that advances against cancer benefit all people, regardless of their race, ethnicity, age, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, or the communities in which they live. The report also includes a special section on the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on cancer care and disparities.
