As a clinical psychologist and statistician, Dr. Green has focused on contributing to the discipline by improving the efficiency of clinical research by applying advanced quantitative approaches and study designs to address central nervous systems disorders and risk behavior. This work has fallen into five general categories: 1) Bayesian statistics and flexible trial design; 2) structural equation/latent modeling; 3) statistical prediction and data science for clinical decision-making; 4) clinical trials for risk behaviors; and 5) clinical epidemiology and trials for mental health disorders. This work has resulted in at least 120 peer-review publications. He has been involved in 24 completed, externally funded studies; 17 ongoing, externally funded studies; and five internally (UTHealth) funded studies.
