Associate Member Eligibility Recertification
Free (no requirement of annual dues) Associate membership will continue in 2025, however, all Associate members will need to recertify eligibility by December 31, 2024, in order to remain on the association membership rolls and continue enjoying the many member-exclusive benefits and programs offered with membership. These member-exclusive benefits include eligibility for research funding and awards, participation in educational training workshops that foster knowledge in the cancer field, the opportunity to give an oral presentation in select major symposia and new concepts sessions at the AACR Annual Meeting, professional development activities, significantly reduced registration rates for AACR Annual Meetings and Special Conferences, the privilege of sponsoring an abstract for presentation at the AACR Annual meeting, early access to housing reservations for the AACR Annual Meeting, and more! Recertify Your Eligibility for Associate Membership
The process for recertifying your Associate membership is fast and easy using the AACR online portal. Simply log into myAACR, select My Membership, and then the Recertify button to proceed. You will need the following information to recertify your membership:
- Username (email address) and password to access myAACR
- Upload a copy of your CV and bibliography (current list of publications)
- Don’t forget to review and update your contact information in myAACR so that you do not miss any important communications
As a reminder, please complete the recertification process online by December 31, 2024, to retain your Associate membership.
Has Your status Changed?
If your status has changed and you no longer meet the criteria for Associate membership, we congratulate you on your recent accomplishment. We look forward to your continued participation as an AACR member and we are implementing additional benefits to support your career advancement at the early-stage investigator level. We strongly encourage you to maintain your membership by transferring to a more appropriate category that best fits your current qualifications. To transfer your membership, log into myAACR, select My Membership, and then the Transfer button.

You may select the Forgot Password link to reset your password or submit a Get AACR IT Help request for assistance.
What are the eligibility requirements for Associate membership?
Associate membership is open to graduate students, medical students and residents, and clinical and postdoctoral fellows who are enrolled in educational or training programs that could lead to careers in cancer research.
What if I am still eligible for Associate membership?

I’m no longer at the same institution/affiliation – should I update my contact information?
Yes, we encourage all members to update their profile information so they continue to receive important AACR communications about association programs and opportunities.

Yes. While completing the recertification, the online portal will automatically re-direct you to the transfer process where you can update your membership category.

To complete your transfer, you will need to upload a copy of your most recent CV and bibliography (current list of publications) and dues payment as part of the online transfer process.
The title of my position does not match the options available but I believe I’m still eligible for Associate membership. What can I do?
