From the Journals: Exercise Decreases Postmenopausal Breast Cancer Risk
Exercise equivalent to walking just four hours a week reduced a woman’s risk of invasive breast cancer by about 10 percent compared with women who were less active, according to a report in Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention, a journal of the American Association for Cancer Research.
The researchers found the health advantage was most evident for those who exercised at this level in the previous four years, suggesting that earlier physical activity, if stopped, does not have as much of a benefit.
