The AACR has recently been notified that some conference registrants are being solicited by an unauthorized company trying to obtain credit card information by phone and email to secure housing accommodations at this conference. Accommodations
The conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency Austin in Austin, Texas. The Hyatt Regency Austin is located approximately 11 miles from the Austin Bergstrom Int’l Airport. A reduced conference rate of $239 per night is available to conference attendees until Wednesday, October 19, 2022. Reservations may be made online. The hotel will accept reservations at the reduced conference rate on a space-available basis until the cut-off date. Reservations made after this date will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis at the nearest available rate. Applied to the room charge will be state and local taxes, currently 17%. Reservations must be guaranteed with a major credit card at the time of reservation. Guests who don’t cancel within 48 hours of their arrival will be charged 1 night’s room and tax. The closest major airport to the conference site is the Austin Bergstrom Int’l Airport, located approximately 18 minutes from the hotel. Ground Transportation
A variety of ground transportation options is available upon arrival, including taxi service, private car service, Uber, Lyft, car rentals, and shared shuttles. Taxi service between the Austin Bergstrom Int’l Airport and the Hyatt Regency Austin is approximately $26 one way, plus gratuity. International Travel
Researchers from more than 50 different countries around the world regularly participate in AACR meetings and conferences. The Association encourages and appreciates the contributions of international researchers at our programs. If you plan to attend this AACR conference, please contact the American Consulate in your country to review the current regulations for travel to the United States. Obtaining the proper documentation may take several weeks or months, depending on your location, so we encourage you to contact the consulate as soon as possible if you are considering attending this conference.
