Abstract 698. Establishing and characterizing patient derived models from racial/ethnic minority gastric cancer patients to advance cancer precision health equity.
What are your long-term goals?
My long-term research goals are to achieve an independent academic research position to pursue research to address cancer health disparities among Native Americans in the United States.
Please share information about how the pandemic has impacted your research over the last two years.
My postdoctoral research has been focused on the characterization of gastrointestinal tumors from racial and ethnic minority cancer patients. The pandemic severely affected our lab’s ability to collect tumor samples for molecular characterization, inhibiting the progress I have been able to make in the past two years of my postdoc fellowship.
