Abstract 5567: Transglutaminase-2 is elevated in the invasive cell state and modulates the tumor immune microenvironment in cutaneous melanoma

What are your long-term career objectives?

My research focuses on therapy resistance in melanoma and how tumor interactions with the immune system affect response to treatment. I plan to apply to research-focused internal medicine residency programs and subsequently train as a medical oncologist. My ultimate career aspiration is to become a physician-scientist, balancing patient care with disease-oriented research that not only improves patient outcomes and identifies novel therapies, but also aims to maintain quality of life for patients undergoing treatment.
