Biography

Born in Jamaica, Dr. Gordon learned the importance of effective, equitable and economical cancer care for all patients. Accordingly, after her graduation from Princeton University, Dr. Gordon matriculated to the UNC School of Medicine, where she successfully won several training grants to investigate the basis of healthcare disparities in cancer care as well as develop novel interventions to improve outcomes. She has continued this essential work through her internal medicine residency at NYU Langone Medical Center and her current hematology and oncology fellowship at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center.  Currently, she is actively working to eliminate healthcare disparities in cancer outcomes and increase minority presence in clinical trials so that all patients can experience excellent, equitable, and economical healthcare.
