The first public data release was available to the global community in January 2017; our current release, GENIE 14.0-public, was released in September 2023. The registry now contains more than 183,000 sequenced samples from 160,000+ patients, making the AACR Project GENIE registry among the largest fully public cancer genomic data sets released to date.

The GENIE 14.0-public release contains more than 7,200 sequenced pancreatic cancer samples. Each sample includes a limited clinical dataset and the variant calls from a clinical-grade NGS test(s).
