Deadline Approaching: Apply by December 7 for the 2024 AACR June L. Biedler Prize for Cancer Journalism
Journalists have one week to submit a story for a chance to win $5,000
PHILADELPHIA – Journalists have one week to submit their stories for the 2024 AACR June L. Biedler Prize for Cancer Journalism. Each award is accompanied by a $5,000 unrestricted cash prize.
To submit a story for consideration, please visit the AACR’s website. The deadline for submission is Thursday, December 7, 2023.
Stories must appear in outlets that target a lay public audience and have been published or broadcast for the first time between December 1, 2022, and November 30, 2023. Submissions will be considered in the following categories:
- Newspapers
- Magazines
- Online/Multimedia
- Television/Radio/Podcasts
The AACR June L. Biedler Prize for Cancer Journalism is a prestigious prize that recognizes professional journalists who have produced accurate, informative, and compelling stories that enhance the public’s understanding of cancer, cancer research, cancer advocacy, or cancer policy.
The 2024 AACR June L. Biedler Prize for Cancer Journalism will be presented during the Opening Ceremony at the AACR Annual Meeting 2024 in San Diego.
