AACR Blog Publishes 2024 Experts Forecast Series
PHILADELPHIA – Cancer Research Catalyst, the official blog of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), has published a four-part series in which eminent AACR experts forecasted cancer research and treatment advances in 2024.
- Read Part 1 – Catherine J. Wu, MD, FAACR, the Lavine Family Chair of Preventative Cancer Therapies at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and a professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School, discussed progress and promise in the field of cancer vaccines.
- Read Part 2 – Robert A. Winn, MD, FAACR, the director and Lipman Chair in Oncology at VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center, shared his thoughts on achieving health equity.
- Read Part 3 – AACR President-Elect Patricia M. LoRusso, DO, PhD (hc), FAACR, a professor of medicine, chief of the early phase clinical trials program, and associate cancer center director for experimental therapeutics at the Yale Cancer Center and Smilow Cancer Hospital, provided her insight into precision medicine and biomarker-driven clinical trials.
- Read Part 4 – Paul Workman, PhD, a professor and drug discovery expert at The Institute of Cancer Research in London, spoke about using AI and other cutting-edge technologies for oncology drug discovery.
