AACR to Unveil Cancer Progress Report 2024 on September 18

Registration for the in-person briefing and virtual live stream is open

WHAT

The American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) will host a congressional briefing to unveil the AACR Cancer Progress Report 2024 at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. There will also be a virtual live stream of the event.

The 14th edition of the AACR Cancer Progress Report provides the latest statistics on cancer incidence, mortality, and survivorship. It also includes a spotlight on childhood and adolescent and young adult cancers, information about modifiable cancer risk factors such as alcohol use, and research on the economic impact of this disease. The report features a number of personal stories from patients who have benefited from innovative anticancer therapeutics, highlighting the real-world impact of medical research. A closing call to action outlines steps Congress must take to ensure that the United States maintains its momentum against cancer for the benefit of all patients.
