PHILADELPHIA – The American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) is calling for submissions for the 2025 AACR June L. Biedler Prize for Cancer Journalism. This prestigious prize serves to recognize professional journalists who have produced accurate, informative, and compelling stories that enhance the public’s understanding of cancer, cancer research, cancer advocacy, or cancer policy.
Each award is accompanied by a $5,000 unrestricted cash prize. To submit a story for consideration, please visit the AACR’s website. The deadline for submission is Monday, December 9, 2024.
The AACR June L. Biedler Prize for Cancer Journalism is open to professional journalists whose stories appear in outlets that target a lay public audience. Stories must have been published or broadcast for the first time between December 1, 2023, and November 30, 2024. Submissions will be considered in the following categories:
- Newspapers
- Magazines
- Online/Multimedia
- Television/Radio/Podcasts
The 2025 AACR June L. Biedler Prize for Cancer Journalism presentation ceremony will take place during the AACR Annual Meeting 2025 in Chicago, April 25-30.
