Deadline Approaching: Reserve SABCS Housing by Monday, Nov. 13

SAN ANTONIO – In four weeks, UT Health San Antonio and the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) will host the 2023 San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABCS), December 5-9, 2023, at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio. Credentialed news media interested in covering the symposium can request complimentary in-person or virtual registration.

HOUSING DEADLINE IS MONDAY, NOVEMBER 13

For individuals planning to attend SABCS in person, the deadline to guarantee hotel room availability and conference rates is Monday, November 13. After this date, hotel reservations will be made based on availability, and hotels may charge higher rates. Information on hotel reservations is available on the SABCS website.

MEDIA REGISTRATION

All journalists planning to cover the meeting must register through the SABCS public relations team via the form linked below to receive the embargoed press program and other important communications. Registration is required regardless of whether you are attending in person or virtually.

PRESS OPERATIONS AT 2023 SABCS

Press Conferences from December 6-8 in Room 217D

Three press conferences will be held in Room 217D at the convention center. They will also be simultaneously broadcast via Zoom for virtual attendees. Press conferences will take place at the following times:

  • Wednesday, December 6
    7:15 a.m. CT
  • Thursday, December 7
    7:15 a.m. CT
  • Friday, December 8
    7:15 a.m. CT

Abstracts included in the 2023 SABCS press program will be shared with registered reporters at a later date.

Press Room Open December 5-8 in Room 217A-C

The press room will be located in Room 217A-C at the convention center. Hours of operation are as follows:

  • Tuesday, December 5
    12 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. CT
  • Wednesday, December 6
    6:45 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. CT
  • Thursday, December 7
    6:45 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. CT
  • Friday, December 8
    6:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. CT

Breakfast and lunch will be provided in the press room Wednesday through Friday.
