Media Registration Open for AACR’s Fall Meetings and Conferences
Topics to be covered include cancer health disparities and innovations in drug development
PHILADELPHIA – The American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) will host several virtual scientific meetings and conferences in the coming weeks. Registration for these meetings is complimentary for credentialed members of the media. The following meetings will feature embargoed press releases for registered reporters:
- 14th AACR Conference on the Science of Cancer Health Disparities in Racial/Ethnic Minorities and the Medically Underserved
October 6-8, 2021
This conference aims to advance the understanding of and ultimately help eliminate the disparities that represent a major public health problem in our country. Topics to be covered include addressing cancer health disparities in the Hispanic/Latin(o/x), African American/Black, indigenous, and LGBTQ+ communities; clinical trial participation among underrepresented populations; disparities in screening guidelines; using artificial intelligence and other research tools in cancer health disparities research; and lessons from the pandemic. - AACR-NCI-EORTC International Conference on Molecular Targets and Cancer Therapeutics
October 7-10, 2021
This meeting attracts international academics, scientists, pharmaceutical industry representatives, and other stakeholders to discuss innovations in drug development, target selection, the impact of new discoveries in cellular and molecular biology, and early clinical trials. The meeting will focus on topics such as novel clinical trial designs, clinical utility and applications of new computational technologies, drugging difficult targets, synthetic lethality, new drugs and treatments, and more. Media REGISTRATION
Reporters must register for access to abstracts, posters, meeting sessions, and embargoed press materials.
To register as press, journalists must provide official press credentials such as a business card, editorial roster or masthead, international press card, or letter of assignment. Alternatively, journalists may provide proof of membership in the Association of Health Care Journalists (AHCJ). Journalists seeking complimentary registration may also be asked to provide recent bylined health/medical/science coverage or further information about their plans for covering the meeting.
