AACR Congratulates Members Elected to the National Academy of Medicine

PHILADELPHIA – The American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) extends its sincerest congratulations to the 14 AACR members who have been elected to the National Academy of Medicine (NAM), one of the nation’s highest honors in the fields of health and medicine.

The 2024 NAM class, announced today, includes eight Fellows of the AACR Academy, three of whom are former AACR Presidents:

• Carlos L. Arteaga, MD, FAACR, Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center, The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center; AACR President, 2014-2015
• Lisa M. Coussens, PhD, FAACR, Knight Cancer Institute, Oregon Health & Science University; AACR President, 2022-2023
• Peter Anthony Jones, PhD, DSc (hon), FAACR, Van Andel Institute; AACR President, 2005-2006

The other AACR Fellows elected to NAM this year are:
