My research explores sexual and reproductive health among women of African descent using an African-centered framework that considers the impact of systemic racism, oppression, and sexism on health equity. Specifically, by addressing the convergence of intersecting identities in relation to health outcomes, management, and care. My immediate goals involve expanding my research program to include exploring the nuanced roles of inter-/intragenerational communication on cervical cancer risk perception and screening behaviors among women of African descent.
