As a behavioral scientist and master certified health education specialist (MCHES), Dr. Rogers’ long-term career goal is to become a world-renowned researcher notorious for rigorously utilizing community-based approaches to develop, implement, and evaluate culture-specific interventions to abolish colorectal cancer disparities among African-American men and other vulnerable populations. His transdisciplinary training permits the unique translation of research findings into prevention methods among health care organizations, government agencies, policymakers, and communities.
