What are your long-term career objectives?
“I currently characterize somatic mutations to understand how the local microenvironment enables clonal expansion and leads to disease, particularly cancer. I plan to leverage these skills as a research professor to address health disparities in historically de-prioritized minorities and women. Through committed mentorship of future scientists, I aspire to create a multidisciplinary environment where diverse minds can come together to champion paradigm-challenging ideas and the empowerment of minoritized communities in healthcare.”
