“As a post-doctoral researcher in the UPR Comprehensive Cancer Center, working in the Division of Clinical & Translational Cancer Research under the mentorship of Dr. Josue Pérez-Santiago, my goal is to become an independent investigator combining my expertise in microbiology with OMICs sciences and clinical data to understand pathogen-associated immune responses that can promote oncogenesis with the end-goal of discovering novel targets for early identification, prevention, and personalized treatment for pathogen-driven cancers.”
