Abstract 4975: CYR61, a member of the CCN protein family, regulates IGF-1 in metastatic prostate cancer.
What are your long-term career goals?
My research focuses on exploring and targeting of malignant pathways leading to prostate cancer (PCa) and understanding the importance of racial and ethnic differences in clinical outcomes. Specifically, the targeting of IGF axis modulators. My career goal is to identify gaps in care delivery to vulnerable populations and communities and improve the outcomes of their treatments. Also, I would like to keep engaging with communities and train the next generation of cancer scientists.
