My name is Haddie DeHart and I am a third-year PhD student in the Cell, Molecular, and Cancer Biology Program at Indiana University. My research is focused on a cancer-specific protein named tGLI1, which promotes tumor progression and is linked to poor patient survival. The goal of my work is to elucidate the nature of this protein in glioblastoma, the deadliest form of brain cancer in adults. Before beginning my PhD, I graduated from Rollins College in 2015 and lived in Boston, Massachusetts where I worked for Foundation Medicine and Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
