Richard J. Bold, MD
Dr. Bold is physician-in-chief of the NCI-accredited UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center (UCDCCC). He is also professor of surgery and chief of the division of surgical oncology and holds the Isabelle McDonald endowed chair in cancer research. He leads an active basic science laboratory investigating mechanisms of resistance to traditional chemotherapy as well as testing new treatments for detecting and treating pancreatic cancer. His clinical practice is focused on the management of patients with pancreatic tumors and is the team leader for the Pancreatic Cancer Innovation Group within the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center (UCDCCC).
