I am in my final year of MD/Ph.D. training at Texas A&M University School of Medicine. I conducted graduate research at Houston Methodist Research Institute under the mentorship of Dr. Jenny Chang, a world-renowned physician-scientist in breast oncology. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Neuroscience from Wellesley College.
My dissertation research focuses on preclinical studies to develop novel therapeutic strategies against aggressive breast cancers, such as metaplastic breast cancer (MpBC). I am interested in developmental therapeutics and delineating mechanisms of action in drug combinations. My long-term career goal is to become a clinical investigator in medical oncology with specializations in breast oncology and developmental therapeutics. I hope to integrate my experience in laboratory-based preclinical studies into the clinical setting and implement personalized cancer therapeutic approaches to improve patient outcomes.
I am honored and delighted to be selected as a member of the AACR Associate Member Council! I am looking forward to developing programs that will empower and support the next generation of cancer researchers.
