Accommodations and Travel

he AACR has recently been notified that some conference registrants are being solicited by an unauthorized company trying to obtain credit card information by phone and email to secure housing accommodations at this conference. Accommodations

The conference will be held at the Westin Gaslamp San Diego in San Diego, California. The Westin Gaslamp San Diego is located approximately 3.0 miles away from San Diego International Airport (SAN). A reduced conference rate of $309 per night is available to conference attendees until Friday, January 3, 2025. Reservations may be made online or by calling 1-619-239-2200 and requesting the AACR DNA Methylation special conference rate. The hotel will accept reservations at the reduced conference rate on a space-available basis until the cut-off date. Reservations made after this date will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis at the nearest available rate. Applied to the room charge will be state and local taxes, currently 12.77%. Reservations must be guaranteed with a major credit card at the time of reservation. Guests who cancel within 72 hours of their arrival will be charged 1 night’s room and tax. Note that check-in time is 4 p.m., and check-out time is 11 a.m.

Travel to San Diego, California

The closest major airport to the conference site is San Diego International Airport (SAN), located approximately eleven minutes from the hotel, with no traffic.   • Please email your initial travel requests to our dedicated Travel Manager, Samantha Baron
  • Include your: Name (per your travel ID), Date of Birth, Preferred Departure/Arrival Airport, name of the AACR meeting you are booking travel for, Travel Dates, and any Additional Preferences (such as seating, timing, etc.)
  • Samantha will research the best flight options and provide several choices that fit your needs
  • A one-time minimal transaction fee of $35 will be clearly listed along with flight pricing
  • For your security, CT will require a signed credit-card-authorization-form before they can process payment for your flight

AACR’s CT office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET.

GROUND TRANSPORTATION

A variety of ground transportation options is available upon arrival, including taxi service, private car service, Uber, car rentals, and shared shuttles. Taxi service between the San Diego International Airport (SAN) and the Westin Gaslamp San Diego is approximately $25 one-way plus gratuity. INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL

Researchers from more than 50 different countries around the world regularly participate in AACR meetings and conferences. The Association encourages and appreciates the contributions of international researchers at our programs. If you plan to attend this AACR conference, please contact the American Consulate in your country to review the current regulations for travel to the United States. Obtaining the proper documentation may take several weeks or months, depending on your location, so we encourage you to contact the consulate as soon as possible if you are considering attending this conference.
