The AACR Integrative Molecular Epidemiology Workshop is a transformative, week-long program designed to advance the skills of early-career researchers in molecular cancer epidemiology. With over 400 researchers trained since its inception, this workshop bridges the gaps between genetics, molecular markers, exposures, and advanced molecular methods. It fosters collaboration across disciplines such as epidemiology, bioinformatics, biostatistics, and molecular biology.

Participants will gain hands-on experience in refining study designs, integrating omics technologies, geospatial data, and epidemiological methods to uncover insights into cancer etiology, prevention, and outcomes. The workshop emphasizes practical applications of cutting-edge tools while focusing on reproducibility, study feasibility, and quality control. Researchers will also engage in discussions on overcoming barriers to cancer health equity, including diversity in clinical trials and data collection.

Designed for emerging molecular epidemiologists, clinicians, statisticians, bioinformaticians, and researchers from allied fields, the workshop cultivates both technical expertise and a collaborative, forward-thinking mindset. Continuing to shape the future of cancer research, this workshop plays a key role in developing a diverse, skilled biomedical workforce.
