Sources of information and support within the cancer community can sometimes seem hard to find, and at other times the options are overwhelming. We’ve organized more than a hundred resources here to make it easier for you to identify the information, services and assistance you’re trying to find. Pancreatic Cancer Action Network Inc.

The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network Inc. (PanCAN) is a national organization that provides educational information, treatment options, clinical trial information, and support to men and women living with pancreatic cancer. PanCAN also provides information and support to caregivers. PanCAN hosts workshops for survivors and their families.

Patient Advocate Foundation

The Patient Advocate Foundation is a national nonprofit organization that serves as a liaison between patients and their insurers, employers or creditors. The foundation seeks to ensure access to care, maintenance of employment and preservation of financial stability.

Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation of the United States (The)

The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation of the United States (PBTFUS) offers educational materials for parents of children with brain tumors, including brochures and an internet conference series. The organization also raises money for pediatric brain tumor research, awareness and detection.

Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition

The Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition provides support to women in Pennsylvania who are impacted by breast cancer. The organization hosts an annual conference and offers patients the opportunity to interact with other survivors as well as medical professionals and patient advocates. The coalition operates support groups throughout the state.

Philippine Cancer Society

The Philippine Cancer Society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping men and women affected by cancer in the Philippines. The society provides educational materials and lectures on general cancers. It also offers emotional support and medical help to cancer patients. The society has mobile clinics providing breast, pelvic and cervical examinations for women and prostate examinations for men.

The Prevent Cancer Foundation (previously known as the Cancer Research and Prevention Foundation) focuses on advancing cancer research and education. The foundation raises money for cancer prevention research and education and provides fellowships for early career scientists. It also advocates for the needs of cancer patients and their families by lobbying at the federal level.

Prostate Net (The)

The Prostate Net provides information and support to help patients decide which courses of action offer the best chance for cure and retention of quality-of-life. It aims to increase awareness of the risks of prostate cancer, simplify the treatment decision-making process through education, and provide access to the tools needed by patients’ families and friends to support their decisions.
