Ruth M. Heyn
Ruth M. Heyn, MD, an Emeritus member of the AACR, died December 26, 2018, at the age of 96. Dr. Heyn authored the first manuscript on the use of vincristine in the treatment of childhood leukemia.
James F. Holland
James F. Holland, MD, a Past President of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) and Fellow of the AACR Academy, died Thursday, March 22, 2018, at the age of 92.
Claude E. Merrin
Claude E. Merrin, MD, AACR Emeritus member, died October 27, 2018, at the age of 82.
Edward J. Modest
Edward J. Modest, PhD, AACR Emeritus member, died October 22, 2018, at the age of 91. Modest was the Director Emeritus at the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center.
Alan S. Rabson
Alan S. Rabson, MD, a former deputy director of the National Cancer Institute and a longtime member of the AACR whose work in virology spanned six decades, died July 4, 2018, at the age of 92.
Kurt Randerath
Kurt Randerath, MD, an Emeritus member of the AACR, passed away on June 24, 2018, at the age of 89.
Peter Reichard
Peter Reichard, MD, a member of the AACR for 43 years, died June 18, 2018, at the age of 93.
Arnold E. Reif
Arnold E. Reif, DSc, an Emeritus member of the AACR, died October 2, 2018, at the age of 93.
William Scher
William Scher, MD, an Emeritus member of the AACR, died January 20, 2018, at the age of 84.
Paul L. Schloerb
Paul L. Schloerb, MD, AACR Emeritus member, died December 29, 2018, at the age of 99. Schloerb was a Professor Emeritus at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
