David S. Alberts
David S. Alberts, MD, a pioneer in cancer prevention research and a longtime member of the AACR, died July 29, 2023, at the age of 83.
Paul N. Anderson
Dr. Paul N. Anderson, passed away January 22, 2023, at the age of 85.
Nelly Auersperg
Nelly Auersperg passed away on January 15, 2023 at the age of 94. A pioneer in her field, Dr. Auesperg spent six decades in cervical and ovarian cancer research, publishing over 200 research papers. She was a valued member of the association for 50 years.
Renato Baserga
Renato Baserga, MD, a cell biologist and longtime member of the AACR, died March 5, 2023, at the age of 97.
A. William Blackstock Jr.
A. William Blackstock Jr., MD, a radiation oncologist and cancer center leader, died June 18, 2023, at the age of 60.
Luigi Chieco-Bianchi
Dr. Luigi Chieco-Bianchi, MD, a longterm AACR Emeritus Member, died June 23, 2023.
Richard H. Creech
Richard H. Creech, MD, a medical oncologist and a longtime member of the AACR, died July 1, 2023, at the age of 83.
Soldano Ferrone
Soldano Ferrone, MD, PhD, a pioneering cancer immunologist, died January 10, 2023, at the age of 82.
Filippo G. Giancotti
Filippo G. Giancotti, MD, PhD, an expert in cancer metastasis and professor at Columbia University’s Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center, died on July 14, 2023, at the age of 65.
